Book an artist in five minutes
- 1Search or Ask Kala in your own words, like “mehendi artist for Sunday under ₹3000”.
- 2Watch their work videos and read reviews from people who hired them.
- 3Send an OfferNote with your date, place and budget. Bargain in the chat if you need to.
- 4Pay in the app once you both agree. The artist is paid only after the job is done.
- 5For doorstep jobs, track them on the way. Rate the work when it is finished.
Get your first booking
- 1Add a clear photo and finish your profile. Complete KYC to get the green verified badge.
- 2Add a service for each skill with a price, a unit (per hour, per event…) and how far you travel.
- 3Post short videos of your real work. Good light and the first three seconds matter most.
- 4Reply to OfferNotes quickly. A fast, polite reply wins more jobs than the lowest price.
- 5Apply for an expertise certificate if you have a degree or training: it shows on your portfolio.
How earnings work
- 1The person hiring pays in the app when the offer is confirmed. The money is held safely until the job is done.
- 2When the job ends, your share moves to your earnings. A small platform fee is shown before anyone pays.
- 3Add a bank account or UPI as a fund account, then withdraw your earnings to it from the app.
- 4Every payment, fee and withdrawal is listed in the app, so you always know where your money is.
Questions people ask.
Is Artistkar free?
Yes. Joining, listing your services and posting work videos is free. A small platform fee is added only when a booking is paid, and it is always shown before you pay.
How are artists verified?
Artists verify their identity with Aadhaar through DigiLocker and a short video KYC. Expertise certificates are checked by our team before the badge shows.
What if the artist does not show up?
Your payment is held until the job is done. If a job is cancelled or not done, you can raise it from the offer and our support team will help, as per the refund policy.
Can I talk to the artist before booking?
Yes. Chat, share references, send voice notes or call from inside the app. Your phone number stays private.
Which cities is Artistkar in?
Artists anywhere in India can join. The home page shows live numbers for the city you pick, and online services can reach you anywhere.
Which languages does the app support?
English, Hindi and Hinglish. Ask Kala understands all three.
